All Camp Class and Chats

The All Camp Class and Chats were combined for the first two days to allow everyone at camp to introduce themselves to each other. The result was that we grew close to each other very quickly and felt open to share our feelings with the entire camp.

It seemed that our time together spilled into campfire time where we felt comfortable sharing with each other. On Monday night, many stood and shared about their lives and received prayers of support and comfort. On Tuesday morning, we finished introducing ourselves and by this time, everyone had already grown close enough to speak openly. The camp was designed for the youth to be actively involved in camp leadership, and it seemed that by Tuesday the youth had become comfortable in taking many leadership responsibilities. On Wednesday morning, we performed an exercise where we listed a manifestation of pride on a piece a paper hanging like a necklace. We then went up to fellow campers and prayed for them. It seemed that each person received prayers from at least 10 different people. Wednesday Chats was a praise service and afterwards, during campfire, we began to share what we would do when we left camp. Some felt they had specific tasks or goals, which needed to be accomplished; while others shared changes which they would make in their lives. In the evening, after a great barbeque supper we had a special event were we learned about the qualities (of love) we needed to have to be about the work.

201: And it shall come to pass, that if the Gentiles shall hearken unto the Lamb of God in that day that he shall manifest himself unto them in word, and also in power, in very deed, unto the taking away of their stumbling-blocks, and harden not their hearts against the Lamb of God, they shall be numbered among the seed of they father;

202: Yea, they shall be numbered among the house of Israel;

203: And they shall be a blessed people upon the promised land for ever;

214:  For the time cometh, saith the Lamb of God, that I will work a great and marvelous work among the children of men;

215:  A work which shall be everlasting, either on the one hand or the other;
