This class discussed the roles of men and women, breaking down barriers between people and understanding the opposite gender Comments about class: Justin – entertaining and interesting Ashley – helpful in understanding different relationships Chris – good talks Joslyn – interesting input from everyone
Scripture Marking Tim Twombly
The people in this class chose to look up and marked mainly scriptures on Charity and prayer. Comments about class: Sabrina – challenging and uplifting
Prayer Pillows Ann Taylor
While talking about prayer, this class saw it illustrated as all the pieces came together, like people helping others together. Comments about class: Beth M – fun Cindy – fun Andrew – fun and exciting “I can sew!”
Teambuilding Edward Glaser
Throughout the week, the different stages of team development were discussed, and some effective tools for team building. They talked about norms (rules or expectations) for teambuilding and how they promote harmony in homes by helping with communication. Also discussed was active listening, conflict resolution and the importance of understanding other people’s point of view. Comments on class: Beth M. – Fun Benny – enlightening
The Field is White Jonnie McGowen
The class talked about missionary work here and everywhere, looked at pictures from Jonnie’s trip to Honduras and wrote letters. Comments on class: Cindy – insightful
Church Member’s Manual Paul Glaser
Covered from who Jesus is, to the meaning of life, to New Heaven/New Earth, to the purpose of baptism, laying on of hands and repentance. Comments on class: All – do we really have to stop for lunch already?
Leadership Edward Glaser
With a Christian view of leadership, we value other people and what leadership can do to improve the physical and spiritual lives of people around us. Comments on class: Cindy – helpful
Scrap ‘n Chat Brookie-Lee and Paul
Brookie-Lee loves to do craft classes at camp, especially the affirmation books as they are such a positive thing to have and look back on even after camp. While making the books people talked about whatever they wanted to like spouses, the church, questions about the scriptures, etc. Everyone enjoyed different perspectives without conflict. Camper-planned special activities Monica Reed
The campers had tons of ideas and ended up planning an ultimate Frisbee game, a Hawaiian dinner, crazy Olympics and scripture skits for the whole camp. Comments on class: All – “No matter what else we do, we have to make people drink while hanging upside down”
